Cold rolled steel is deep drawn in progressive stages. Heat treating and several cleaning steps are needed before the cylinders are cleaned. It takes massive presses and a lot of automation to fabricate these disposable cylinders in large quantities. Consistency is everything.
Cylinder Safety
Gas filled cylinders need to be handled with caution. They are pressure vessels with a limit as to how much pressure they can hold. While each cylinder design has its own inherent limitations, most disposable cylinders are designed to have a burst strength limit of around 6,400 to 12,000 psi, relative to the filling pressure and the type of gas. In North and South America, we are pleased to offer the patented safe sealing cap. This is the puncturable cap on top of the gas filled cylinder. It is designed to allow a slow and controlled release of gas pressure. Do not heat a filled cylinder.
